Bilstein Shock Absorbers and Struts

Tom Bishop, owner of Auto Sport Gallery, has used and sold Bilstein Shock
Absorbers since 1974. His first set went on a 1973 Dodge one-ton van
used to haul approximately 2000 lbs. of spare parts and towing a BMW 2002
race car on a heavy single axle trailer that grossed about 3500 lbs. With
the original shocks and the Gabrials that were installed at 9,000 miles, the
truck drove like an out of control pogo stick and the front tires were
cupping badly. Bilsteins were installed at 10,000 miles solving the
pogo and tire-cupping problem. The truck actually became fun to drive, even
on mountain roads, and the Bilsteins lasted almost 150,000 miles.
Bishop has used Bilstein on BMW 2002 and 320i IMSA race cars, his personal BMW
2002Tii (190,000 miles), 1984 VW GTi, 1973 & 1976 Fiat 128 SL SCCA-SSC racecars,
1963 Morris Cooper S, and 1964 Plymouth Valiant V-8.
Plus a 32ft.
Winnabego motorhome. He has provided Bilsteins for customers to use
on commercial light and heavy-duty trucks (18
wheelers), police cars, racecars and personal passenger cars. Auto
Sport Gallery offers approximately 12 brands of shock absorbers. In Bishop’s
opinion
Bilstein has no equal !
